Edlin & Rick
Ok so maybe we did cross a few strips of yellow (no trespassing) tape to get to this one spot where we photographed Edlin & Rick. However, it was worth every risk we took while we were out and about downtown. We came across a crazy loud person who for some reason was kicking a steel pole and yelling at it (no it wasnt a Monday haha) We even had a few cars and trucks drive by screaming things like "DONT DO IT!" or just plain old cat calls at these two lol! I admit I do have some pretty good looking couples ;)
But if I've ever had the privilege of working with you during an Engagement Session, a Bridal Session etc. you know that my approach is rather laid back. Sure we plan ahead for weather, time of day and things like that but once we are in our zone together its all fun and games!
Theres just something about our streets in downtown Laredo which I love. Its probably the old decayed walls which from a distance provides nice textures and neutral colors, or probably the way I am able to use buildings for shade and add that extra pop of background into every photo.
The Federal courthouse in this case made for some great photos as you can see in the last set of shots. And I can't thank the security guard who was there at the courthouse and approached and said, "Hey guys have fun shooting pictures here BUT don't photograph the buildings security cameras please." WOW! Hi FIVE to THAT guy for being so cool!
But no one was cooler than Edlin and Rick here who pretty much trusted me with the direction we took for these photos. As soon as we started I had these two dancing with each other right in the middle of an old parking lot. And they were ALL for it. Cheers to you guys for checking in on my blog and I hope you enjoy these few of my favorites from Edlin & Ricks engagement session!
